Did you know that 1 in 4 people in the UK live with a mental health condition?

That’s nearly 15 million people with an illness that affects their wellbeing, their relationships with family and friends, and their ability to work. For many the experience can be painful, exhausting, and isolating.

Physical health has seen huge advances in treatment. But progress in understanding mental illness, and research into its causes, treatments and prevention, has had nowhere near as much funding and progress. There is still so much we need to find out.

Help us find answers that will transform lives

We are the leading UK charity funding much-needed scientific research to transform the lives of everyone affected by mental illness and find vital answers.
