MQ Chief Executive to step down

MQ’s Chief Executive Officer, Lindsey Bennister, has decided to step down from her position. She said “I am proud of my contribution to MQ during the last six months, which included the development of a new strategy and direction of travel for MQ. I am confident that MQ will go from strength to strength in the future, truly transforming the mental health research landscape.”

Lindsey explained, “This is a personal decision to leave MQ. I am pleased to have put in place a framework for the future which a new Chief Executive can take forward, working with the committed staff team and board of trustees.”

Chair of MQ trustees Sir Philip Campbell said: “The trustees of MQ recognise Lindsey's personal decision to step down at this stage. We welcome her positive view about the future of MQ, which we fully endorse. We have excellent researchers and projects being supported, we have grown our support base and core income, and expect to grow further next year. Our staff are delivering on our plans, and the Board are now working on the recruitment of Lindsey’s successor.”
