"I know so many people who struggle daily" – Angela Scanlon on why she's swearing

We're delighted Angela Scanlon is joining us in making a solemn promise to take on the challenge of mental illness through research – and we are asking you to swear with us.

Current host of The One Show, Angela, is saying it's time to give a **** about mental illness in young people, here's why:

"I'm really honoured to be part of this campaign to crack mental health.

On a personal level I know so many people who struggle daily, who battle with different degrees of mental health issues, from anxiety to depression.

I have lost people to mental illness. I have lost days to it too. Many people just don't know where to start, doing anything feels like too much.

75% of mental illness starts before the age of 18, at a time when young people are already so vulnerable. We need to talk, we need fight, we need to shout and we need to help. MQ are supporting life-changing research into young people’s mental health."
