Examining sleep and mental health in UK students

The transition from school/college to university is accompanied by a number of significant life changes (e.g. leaving home, increased independence) and academic challenges (e.g. independent learning) which, for some, may act as stressors which precipitate symptoms of insomnia and mental health difficulties such as depression. However, only one study has previously examined the relationship between mental health difficulties and insomnia in UK students. As such, this study aims to further examine the relationship between poor sleep and mental health difficulty amongst students in the UK.


We are looking for:

participants who must be:

  • studying in the UK
  • at least 18 years old


  • Online/home-based
